On October 25th, 2023, Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors (MLSA)-UETT organized an
interactive session at SED, known as Hacktoberfest, to explore the world of open-source
contribution. The MLSA-UETT hosted this event as part of their ongoing efforts to kickstart
the Microsoft community on campus, highlighting the importance of community building, networking,
and Microsoft technologies. The primary focus of the session was Hacktober Fest, a global event
that unites individuals passionate about open-source contributions. Arsalan Khattak
(ex-Community Associate, Major League Hacking (MLH)), our distinguished speaker,
delivered an informative session, providing a comprehensive breakdown of how students
can collaborate and contribute to open-source communities.
