Undergraduate Program
The Department of Electronics Engineering was established in 2010 to fulfill the needs of the country by producing
responsible graduates equipped with sound knowledge and skills along with the highest moral values through a conducive
learning environment. The department offers Electronics Engineering degree programs at the undergraduate level in
"Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering" which is currently accredited with Pakistan Engineering Council
at Level-II (i.e. OBE based).
The department defined its broad objectives about the Engineering, leadership, and continuous professional development
skills for the BSc Electronics Engineering program. The courses offered by the department prepare the students to achieve
these skills and are built on a strong foundation on the basic principles of Electronic Devices, Circuits, Systems, and
Technology, including Mathematics, Basic Sciences, and Humanities. The written and oral communication skills are being
developed among students. The undergraduate curriculum is carefully designed to cover the following areas of Electronics
Engineering.
- Electronics
- Computer
- Robotics
- Telecommunication
- Digital Signal Processing
- Embedded and Control Systems
The current enrollment of undergraduate students is 50 per year. The students are provided with an educational foundation
that prepares them to choose their career in Academic, Industrial, or other areas. Students of the department often
participate in and win multiple national competitions related to technical and co-curricular activities that depict
the strength of our program.
Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Implementation
The Department of Electronics Engineering started to work on Outcome Based System of Education
in 2015 by considering guidelines given by PEC in its OBA manual. There continuous efforts is made
to enhance and implement the educational quality in the department.
The University and department have various bodies which are responsible for monitoring, evaluation, and
improvement of the quality of the program. The department has three committees namely Assessment/Analysis
committee, Subject/CQI committee and Program committee which are responsible for the attainment, analysis,
and recommendations for CQI of the program, respectively. These recommendations are approved by the Board
of Undergraduate Studies (BoUGS) (at PLO/CLO level) and Board of Faculty (BoF) (at PEO level). The curriculum
and PEOs revision, if required, is proposed by the Subject/CQI committee of the department and is passed to
the BoF through BoUGS. The BoF gives recommendations on the proposed curriculum/revised PEOs and then are
these recommendations are passed on to the Academic Council which gives the final approval of the
curriculum/revised PEOs. Below table shows the hierarchy of the various Bodies involved in OBE implementation
and continual quality improvement.
